Ben Carson (Cuba Gooding Jr.) grew up in a broken home, dealing daily with the difficulties of poverty and prejudice. As a result, his grades went down as his temper continued to get worse. Through all of the adversity, however, his mother never lost faith in him, and she continued to encourage him to grow his imagination, intelligence, and his belief in himself. As he grew older, he worked to eventually become a brain surgeon. Through the course of his profession, he was able to make an impact and realize his dream of being one of the best neurosurgeons in the world, as he pioneered a number of new treatments and changed the course of medical history. |
