On a secluded country estate, artist Meener Chrome (Ewan McGregor) has come to create a masterpiece. Hired by wealthy patron Thomas Smithers (Pete Postlethwaite), he plans to create an extravagant garden carved out of the wilderness. But Chrome's true aim is to bankrupt Smithers and allow evil Fitzmaurice (Richard E. Grant) control over his beautiful wife Juliana (Greta Scacchi) … before Smithers discovers Chrome's true purpose.
