Cary Scott (Jane Wyman) is a woman who seems to have a lot going for her. She is an attractive, wealthy widow who moves in New England's most esteemed social circles, and she has two men trying to woo her. But the life she's been living feels empty after she meets Ron Kirby (Rock Hudson,) a handsome young landscaper who enjoys the simple things in life. They are irresistibly pulled toward each other, but Cary's family and friends think Ron is unworthy of a woman of her class. Now Cary faces the difficult choice of giving up all she's known, or giving up the man she loves. |
