Enjoy the swaggering antics of Muggs Maloney (Leo Gorcey), a young fighter filled with the ambition to be a boxing champ. It's the 1930s, the height of the Depression and FDR has set up the Civilian Conservation Corps. Muggs decides he needs to train in the country. The gang signs up for a stint in the C.C.C.-without telling Muggs. They boys are not prepared for the strict military regime, and true to form, they manage to get themselves in and out of a great deal of trouble. This entertaining film has terrific boxing sequences and combines East Side Kids comedy with social commentary.
