Set in 1942 during World War II, the action begins when a group of American Commandos is hand picked to carry out a secret mission designed by Captain Valley. Valley's seemingly strategic plan requires the Americans to pose as Italian soldiers in order to get close to and eventually attack a German base.
However, Commando leader Sergeant Sullivan is doubtful about the Captain and his plan; he is haunted by the memory of a similar mission, which had cost him the lives of all but three of his men. Could he lose even more men this time? As the battle between the Americans and the Germans heats up, so does the one between Valley and Sullivan.
