A man is confronted by the six-year old son he didn’t know he had. A search for the mother ensues, but she’s nowhere to be found.

The Last Farm (15 mins) (Iceland)
In a remote valley, all of the frams except one have been abandoned.

Six Shooter (27 mins) (IR)
On a train journey home through rural Ireland, an older man grieving the loss of his wife encounters a strange young character. Six Shooter will be broadcast on the Sundance Channel.

Cashback (19 mins) (UK)
A London college art student’s vivid imagination runs wild as he works the late shift at a local supermarket. Cashback has been developed as a full length feature, that is currently in post-production.


Animation Nominees

The Moon and the Son: An Imagined Conversation (28 mins) (US)
Explores the difficult emotional terrain of father/son relationships as seen through the filmmaker’s own turbulent relationship with his father. The Moon and the Son will be broadcast on HBO.

“9” (11 mins) (US)
In the shadow of urban desolation, a rag doll must face a monster that is hunting his brethren and stealing their souls. Focus Feature is developing a full length feature based on the short.

“Badgered” (7 mins) (UK)
The tale of a grumpy badger who just wants the world to let him sleep.

The Mysterious Geographic Explorations of Jasper Morello (27 mins) (AUS)
The story of Jasper Morello, a disgraced aerial navigator who flees his plague-ridden home on a desperate voyage to redeem himself.

One Man Band (4 mins) (US)
With one coin to make a wish at the piazza fountain, a peasant girl encounters two street performers who’d prefer the coin find its way into their tip jars. Produced by Pixar.
