|
Rock music problems arise from double-crosses over record deals. Swan (Paul Williams), owner of a rock club, has plagiarized the music of Winslow Leach (William Finley) who is disfigured, framed, and the victim of unrequited love from Phoenix (Jessica Harper), an up and coming singer. Wearing a mask to hide his new deformities, Leach becomes the Phantom who terrorizes the Paradise Club of Swan, killing off stars and rock bands. All the while, he longs for Phoenix and promises not to kill any other singers at the Paradise if Swan will allow Phoenix to perform his musical version of Faust. Swan, however, continues to be untrustworthy. |
