When mysterious giant robots begin attacking the streets of New York City, intrepid reporter Polly Perkins (Academy Award-winner Gwyneth Paltrow) is on the story and enlists the aid of ace aviator and old flame Joseph "Sky Captain" Sullivan (Academy nominee Jude Law).
