Monika Hertwig, the daughter of former Plaszow concentration camp commandant Amon Goeth, tries to come to terms with the suffering her father inflicted on thousands of people during the Second World War. On a journey inspired by the film Schindler's List, in which Amon was portrayed by Ralph Fiennes, she discovers the impact his crimes had beyond the walls of Plaszow, and meets Holocaust survivor Helen Jonas, who her father used as a slave during the conflict
