Retired Texas Rangers return for one last battle for justice. In this western, a retired Texas Ranger (Pat O'Brien) and his three aged pales (Walter Brennan, Chill Wills and Edgar Buchanan) help to clean up a town run by a crooked Mayor (Edward Andrews), a drunken Judge (Andy Devine) and a trigger-happy Sheriff (Jack Elam). Good guy newspaper man Jeff Rose (Rick Nelson) is running for Mayor and needs the help of this group of former Rangers before he gets run out of town or worse! A memorable cast of western stars makes this film one for the ages. |
