Ronnie Dobbs (David Cross) is a small town drunk whose antics often get him chased by the cops. When Terry Twillstein (Bob Odenkirk), a television producer from L. A. hears of Ronnie's antics, he signs Ronnie to his own reality series. Ronnie settles into his new life in Beverly Hills, but he is unprepared for the fame, money, and power that his new life brings. Ronnie tries to reinvent himself, which isn't as successful as he had hoped. How will Ronnie be able to find a balance between his new life, the life he left behind, and being the person that the producers want him to be in order to have good ratings for his new show?
