Former convict Armstrong Cane (Ving Rhames) has undergone a sea change and he is now seeking to occupy position in his father's church and worshippers. However, the vicinity is full of law-breakers and dugs. Those who are capable, shift to more thriving areas and follow the professional priest, Rev. Danny Christopher (Ricardo Chavira). He boldly faces the challenge posed by the gang leader, Blaze (Dean McDermott), and preaches the divine words to listening people. Through his strong character and belief he tries to change Norris Johns (Dwain Murphy), who is about to fall prey of drugs and the gangs. Also Armstrong has to take care to see that his violent past does not overwhelm him.
