Shopgirl is a movie that follows the story of a young woman, Mirabelle (Claire Danes) as she finds herself in a relationship with both an older, well off gentleman by the name of Ray (Steve Martin), and a young man closer to her own age, but with less going for him in his life. She soon finds out that each of the men has something different to offer, and his own unique set of drawbacks and challenges. The movie follows the evolution of these relationships, as well as following the growth and evolution of each of the characters involved in them. |
