This independently made film, set in the south of Arkansas, follows a family feud that materializes when two different sets of half-brothers come to an argument at their father's funeral. The ignored first-born siblings named Boy (Douglas Ligon), Son (Michael Shannon) and Kid (Barlow Jacobs) (impersonal names that demonstrate the indifference their father showed towards them) immeditately explode in anger upon meeting their counterparts, who have true names and have been gaining the rewards of their father's successes in life. |
