Quiet businessman Charles Driggs (Jeff Daniels) has his life turned upside down when he meets Lulu (Melanie Griffith), whose real name is Audrey. Audrey quickly whisks him away on an adventure that begins with the couple posing as if they are married, and then going to meet Audrey's mother. At Audrey's high school reunion, they soon meet her violent ex-husband Ray (Ray Liotta), who makes it very clear that he wants Audrey back. Charles begins to wonder just what he got himself into, and whether he will get out of it alive. Was Charles ready for all of the craziness he has been subjected to, and will he and Audrey be able to get out of all of this trouble? |
