The film takes place in Michigan and explores the world of dirty cops on the violent streets of Detroit. Detective Marty Kingston (Ray Liotta) is the leader of an undercover narcotics networks whose members are systematically murdered one by one. To resolve the case Kingston joins forces with a young detective Dan Sullivan (Shawn Hatosy), but none of them is ready for the corruption that they discover during the investigation.
