Ten years after the Civil War has ended, the historic Texas Rangers are reformed under the direction of Leander McNelly (Dylan McDermott). McNelly gathers up a group of men, most of them green and inexperienced: Lincoln Rogers Dunnison (James Van Der Beek), George Durham (Ashton Kutcher), Randolph Scipio (Usher), and a couple of experienced men in Sgt. John Armstrong (Robert Patrick), and Frank Bones (Randy Travis). Their prime objective is to catch the thief King Fisher (Alfred Molina), as they chase him down and plan for a final showdown with him at the border of Mexico. |
