A poor but energetic thief (Douglas Fairbanks) falls in love with the Calif's daughter (Julanne Johnston) when she's paraded through the streets of Bagdad. He disguises himself with stolen clothes as a legitimate royal suitor to get inside the castle and win her hand. Once inside he reveals his deception, is caught, flogged, and is about to be sacrificed to a huge ape when the Princess shows mercy. Confessing her new love for him, the Princess arranges a contest for all her suitors, including the evil Mongol Prince (Nobel Johnson). Whoever brings back the rarest treasure at the Seventh Moon will win her hand. |
