Amiable movie that continues the adventures of two potheads Cheech (Cheech Marin) and Chong (Tommy Chong). In this installment, they pick up from their previous movie, "Up in Smoke" as Cheech and Chong desire to make something of themselves, all the while maintaining their small amount of money for their marijuana-fueled lifestyle. Cheech and Chong steal gasoline to fuel their car. Later on Cheech loses his job so Cheech and Chong apply for welfare to get more money. Cheech's cousin (Cheech Marin) visits a massage parlor and turn it inside out; Cheech's cousin and Chong go out for a night on the town with a respectable middleclass lady (Edie McClurg) and her husband (Bob McClurg) who think they are super company and not at all odd. They meet a hotel bellhop/comedian (Paul Rubens) who further helps the pair in their wacky adventures.
