Victor Clooney (Jack Lemmon) is a depressed man on the verge of suicide. Trabucco (Walter Matthau) is a hit man hired to kill a mole from the mob. The two end up connected as Trabucco sets up his hit in a hotel room while Victor tries to hang himself right next door. Trabucco can't seem to allow Victor to kill himself and gets him to stop only by taking him to the sex clinic where Victor's wife Celia (Paula Prentiss) is getting together with Dr. Hugo Zuckerbrot (Klaus Kinski), who heads up the clinic. Instead of helping Victor gets worse because he finds out his wife is filing for divorce, in the end he goes back to the hotel and decides to help Trabucco finish his hit. |
