"Legionnaire" sees the story of the French Foreign Legion, a group of fighters made up of men mostly regarded as scum of the earth. It was a mercenary army composed of soldiers no other country wanted. The Legion never asked questions and they held allegiance to no one except each other. Now we meet one member, Alain Lefevre (Jean-Claude Van Damme) a French Boxer in 1920’s Marseilles, France. When paid to take a dive, Alain wins and is forced to run from the gangsters he double-crossed. When his attempt to escape to America with his ex-girlfriend, Katrina (Ana Sofrenovic) is foiled and Katrina is captured, Alain makes hi way off to join the Legion and uses their resources to topple the criminal empire of Lucien Galgani (Jim Carter) and get Katrina back.
