A severe outbreak of diphtheria hits a military outpost; struck down with illness the outpost is defenseless. The authorities send a train with medical supplies and small U. S. Army unit as replacement soldiers as well as a territory governor, priest, doctor and U. S. Marshal with his prisoner. Heading through Rocky Mountains a passenger on the train is murdered and then the entire population of several cars. A man under arrest and being transported, John Deakin (Charles Bronson) is under suspicion. Deakin does some digging to get to the bottom of all the spilled blood. But no matter what nothing on that train is how it seems.
