This movie is a violent story about territory and family business on the streets of Los Angeles. Brother doesn't only mean "blood", it also relates to friends. Aniki(Beat Takeshi) is sent to America by his big brother. He searches for his younger brother who is involved in dealing drugs in Los Angeles. The Yakuza are soon at war with the Mafia and Mexican gangs. While it is very violent, it doesn't seem out of place. This is a very violent world and violence and killing is a way of life. It's also about honor and love of family especially brothers. Think of it as a Japanese Gangster Movie. Brother is not only about killing and crime though, it's about honor, family and truth, as they see it.
