Every year, the British Hairdressing Championship picks a new town to hold its’ contest. This year, they are coming to Keighley. Phil, (Alan Rickman) along with his son Brian (Josh Hartnett) run a barbershop. After Shelly, (Natasha Richardson) Phil’s wife left him for her lesbian lover, he dropped out of professional styling competitions and settles now on just cutting men’s hair. But with the competition coming to his town, and arch rival from years ago Ray, (Bill Nighy) baiting him. Phil must decide if he will join Shelly, her lover Sandra, (Rachel Griffiths) and son Brian, to once and for all defeat the egomaniac.
