For cannabis growers Jack (Billy Bob Thornton), Carter (Hank Azaria) and Harlan (Ryan Phillippe) life couldn’t be better due to Malcolm’s (John Lithgow) flourising dope plantation in northern California. Suddenly Malcolm is killed by an unknown assailant. After sheer panic sets in, the trio decide that they will take the business over themselves. They soon find that their lazy days on the farm haven’t prepared them for the business of finding buyers for their contraband. As they delve deeper into a world of danger, duplicity and double dealing they realise they are in way over their heads, but they are driven by greed and they soon realise it’s far too late to back out. |
