Frank Bannister (Michael J. Fox) is a ghost buster. Formerly an architect, an auto accident kills his wife and leaves Frank able to see ghosts. So with the help of friendly ghosts Stuart (Jim Fyfe) and "The Judge" (John Astin), he hires out to exorcise houses that are haunted. Of course, it's his friends that are doing the haunting. Business is good. Then, suddenly, townsfolk start dying. And the ones that Frank can see have glowing numbers on their foreheads. There's a new ghost in town, a really bad one. With the help of Dr. Lucy Lynskey (Trini Alvarado), a recent widow, Frank sets out to eliminate the murdering ghost and save the town.
