“Alien Nation” sees a distant future where aliens are reality. Having come to Earth and then stranded here after their spaceship explodes, ‘The Newcomers’ as they are called have become mankind’s next target of persecution. When Detective Mathew Sykes (James Caan) looses his partner to what was a simply robbery he is partnered with Newcomer officer, Detective Sam Francisco (Mandy Patinkin). Immediately nicknaming him George, Mathew and his new partner learn that there is more to his partner’s death. The two become fast friends as their investigation leads them deeper and uncovers a much greater conspiracy at the heart of the Newcomer community.
