Auntie Mame is a movie about a little boy name Patrick (Jan Handzlik) who goes to live with his eccentric and free-spirited aunt, Mame, (Rosalind Russell) after his father dies. Mame is as unconventional as can be, and Patrick has never seen anything like her. The two get along swimmingly, but to prevent Patrick from adopting Mame's outrageous lifestyle, his father has stipulated in his will that the executor of the will oversee and protect Patrick from Mame. The movie shows the journey from Patrick's youth to adulthood and the bond that grows between Patrick and Mame.
