Connie (Nia Vardalos) and Carla (Toni Collettte) accidentally witness a mob hit in Chicago. They run for their lives out to Los Angeles. They land a job performing at a dinner theatre/cabaret. The only problem is, they are performing as drag queens. Their neighbors, fellow drag queens Brianna (Chris Logan), Peaches (Stephen Spinella), N’Cream (Alec Mapa) befriend them, but don’t guess their secret. Things get more complicated when Brianna’s straight brother, Jeff (David Duchovny), starts to fall for drag queen Connie. When the mob finds out where they are, the girls have to scramble to save their lives and keep their great jobs.
