“Heights” (2005) follows a day in the life of five New Yorkers in New York City over 24 hours. The stories of the five characters begin to intertwine and as their day unfolds each character has to decide how they want to live their lives before the new day comes. Isabel (Elizabeth Banks) is getting cold feet about her impending marriage to Jonathan (James Mardsen), a promising young attorney. Isabel’s mom, Diana (Glen Close) discovers that her husband has a new lover; this revelation shouldn’t be of consequence in Diana’s open marriage arrangement, but it makes her rethink whether she wants her marriage to be open or not. Alec (Jesse Bradford), a young aspiring actor and Peter (John Light) cross paths with Isabel and Diana in the course of the 24 hours.
