The movie “Shelter” depicts a story about a woman-psychiatrist, who has been working with the patients having the disorder called multiple personality, which came to be the reason they committed multiple crimes, including killings. Cara Jessup (Julianne Moore), as an expert is required to give a testimony about the suspects. After her professional evidence about the multiple personality disorder numerous assassins are sent to death penalties and killed. However, Cara, as a faithful Catholic, remains loyal to her religion even though she brings out the scientific theory about multiple personality. As a contrast, her daughter becomes skeptical about the existence of a God. But soon, Cara gets distracted when she learns about the case of Adam (Jonathan Rhys-Meyers). After long investigation, she finds out that Adam’s mind contains various, but quite clear fragments of people he has killed before. After these events Cara loses her firm faith in existence of reasonable reality.
