Samson (Rowan McNamara) is a silent Aboriginal teenager with no parents, no job, and no real entertainment. He lives in the Outback in squalor with other young men, and passes the time largely by sniffing petrol. Delilah (Marissa Gibson) is another local youth, pressed into hard(er) times by the death of her grandmother (Mitjili Gibson), who generated income through painting. Samson and Delilah meet, and begin a romance despite Samson’s lack of speaking. The two relocate to Alice Springs, finding homeless city life to be difficult, but in different ways. The pair find love in each other, and look to find hope in the outside world.
