|
Set during the Plague in medieval times, a band of mercenaries, led by Martin (Rutger Hauer), are betrayed by a noble lord. In retaliation, they kidnap Agnes(Jennifer Jason Leigh), the betrothed of the lord's son, and rape her. Agnes learn to survive by becoming Martin's mate and a member of the band. When the Plague threatens, they decide to take over a castle and lie low, not knowing that the lord's son, Steven (Tom Burlinson), has assembled an army to retrieve his intended! |
