Foreign Correspondent is the story of a young and ambitious reporter named Johnny Jones (Joel McCrea). Jones leaves his comfortable life in his native New York City to cover the early beginnings of the Second World War in England. There he finds his task quite simple until he becomes aware of foreign spies hiding out throughout the country. This proves to be quite a dangerous and daring job for Johnny, who somewhat finds himself in over his head. Luckily for him he meets the beautiful Carol Fisher (Laraine Day), who helps him navigate through the foreign land. The two fall in love, but Johnny discovers that she may not be what she seems to be. |
