The movie Quadrophenia is about a disaffected young man living in England. The movie is set in 1964, and follows the adventures of a young mailroom clerk named Jimmy Cooper (Phil Daniels). Jimmy hates the boring existence of his middle-class life and does not look forward to having the same future life as his father (Michael Elphick) and mother (Kate Williams). Jimmy rebels by hanging out with a gang of youth who call themselves the Mods, led by the most popular Mod, Ace Face (Sting). The Mods are enemies of the other large gang in the area, the Rockers. Jimmy’s best boyhood friend Kevin (Ray Winstone) is a Rocker, a circumstance adds to Jimmy’s unhappiness. During a bank holiday weekend, the Mods and the Rockers head to Brighton for a face-off.
