Fatherly and wise, Edward Randolph (Otto Kruger) takes a decided interest in handsome playboy Bob Merrick (Rock Hudson). When Bob’s irresponsible actions lead to the death of the husband of Helen Phillips (Jane Wyman), a blind woman, Bob decides to change his lifestyle and become a caretaker for Helen on Randolph's advice. Bob chooses not to reveal his role in Helen's husband’s accidental death, but she learns about it, leaving him in the lurch. Bob must then return to medical school and become a top flight surgeon. When Nancy Ashford (Agnes Moorehead) helps Bob to connect again with Helen, he is ready to operate on Helen and perform a miracle with love. |
