The story begins with Ryan as a womanizing stockbroker. His unethical business practices cost him his job and he is made to move to his equally bad girl friend's place. Cindy, Ryan's girl friend, is an advice columnists, who puts her job at risk since she is a slow worker and insensitive of people's feelings and lives. She finds that Ryan had different reason to move in, she runs away with another man. Ryan takes up Cindy's position as columnist for the newspaper and starts collecting her pay checks and mail and in turn started writing columns under Cindy's name. Soon, Ryan started his career as a columnist and made the paper, Page, very popular and his advices sounded very effective. Cindy, after getting to know all the information about Ryan, comes back to meet him, which was the time when the rival newspaper Chain tries to rope in Cindy’s columns.
