Princess Luma (Piper Perabo) has gone missing and King Edgar (Simon Callow) is offering free land to anyone who can find her. Worn down by the crusades a weary English knight named George (James Purefoy) decides to settle down. He takes up the search for the missing princess so he can get a nice little farm. While on his quest he runs across a dragon egg and tries to destroy it. To his great surprise Princess Luma herself whacks him on the head with a stick to stop him. When she ran away from her betrothal to Sir Garth (Patrick Swayze) Luma was convinced by the mother dragon to become the egg’s protector and she wants to make sure it will hatch. When George attempts to return both princess and egg to her father’s castle they run afoul of Sir Garth. He kidnaps the princess to force her to marry him. With some help from his friends, Tarik the Moor (Michael Clarke Duncan), Elmendorf (Bill Treacher), Father Bernard the skate-boarding monk (Jean-Pierre Castaldi), and Momma dragon herself George rescues the princess, the dragon egg hatches successfully, and Garth gets his comeuppance.
