In the movie Finding Amanda, we follow the travels of Taylor Peters (Matthew Broderick), a writer for a bad sitcom. Taylor’s marriage to his wife Lorraine (Maura Tierney) is on the rocks, partly ruined by his gambling addiction. At his sister’s request, Taylor escapes his troubles at home for a while by heading to Las Vegas, a city which he finds both alluring and dangerous. Taylor’s mission is to help his niece Amanda (Brittany Snow), who has involved herself with a sleazy boyfriend named Greg (Peter Facinelli) and a dangerous and degrading lifestyle. During the attempt to rescue his niece, Taylor is forced to confront his own demons, which he does with the help of his friend Jerry (Steve Coogan), a casino host. |
