In a small town in coastal Maine, young Hogarth Hughes (Eli Marienthal) discovers a giant robot from space (Vin Diesel.) Befriending the Giant, he hides it from his mother Annie (Jennifer Aniston) with the help of scrapyard dealer and artist Dean McCoppin (Harry Connick Jr.) However, hot on the trail of the Giant is overzealous and paranoid government agent Kent Mansley (Christopher McDonald), and soon Hogarth and the Giant must make a fateful decision. |
