Introducing the segments are Itzhak Perlman, Steve Martin, Quincy Jones, Bette Midler, James Earl Jones, Penn & Teller, James Levine, and Angela Lansbury. The classical works selected are Beethoven's 5th Symphony, Resphigi's "Pines of Rome," Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue," Shostakovich's "Piano Concerto No. 2," Saint-Siens "Carnival of the Animals," Dukas's "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," Elgar's "Pomp and Circumstance," and Stravinsky's "Firebird Suite." |
