Jeff Blue (Dennis Quaid) and his wife Jane (Kathleen Turner), who knows martial arts, are both spies who have been on parental leave for a while. They are on vacation with their young daughter. Then they are ordered to get back to work in order to halt a sale of a stolen weapons shipment. They take the baby along for the adventure. A local cop (Obba Babatunde) tries to monitor the Blues. The arms dealer is Paulina Novacek (Fiona Shaw), and the clumsy thug is Morty (Stanley Tucci), who wants to be known as Muerte and also wants to get even with the Blues, so he follows them.
