Sonny Hooper (Burt Reynolds) is an aging, physically busted stuntman who is almost obsolete, but still wanted by movie makers. Not quite ready to give up his love of getting set on fire, and crashing cars through plate glass, he sees what the life has done to his girlfriend's (Sally Field) dad who was a stuntman as well. As the aging superstar is grappling with the idea of quitting, the new kid, Ski Chinski (Jan Michael-Vincent) comes along in the hopes of surpassing his idol. Together they plan the "biggest" stunt that is unscripted in the last movie of Sonny's career. This is a classic movie, starring great actors and actresses with great chemistry on screen. Plenty of car crunching, barely make it out, explosion filled stunts in this film.
