Tom (Scott Speedman) and Dan (James Marsden) meet in a bar one night. Tom invites Dan back to his apartment for a one-night stand, but once they get there, Dan finds his surroundings familiar. After a few drinks, Tom ties Dan to a chair and reveals that, in fact, he has been in that apartment before. Five years earlier, Dan and Tom had a one night stand there, the encounter being Tom’s first and only homosexual experience. A few years later, Tom’s wife takes a blood test and the results show she’s HIV positive. Distraught by the news, she drives through a red light and is killed in a collision. Tom also finds out he’s HIV positive, and blames Dan for transmitting it to him and for his wife’s death and exacts his revenge. He holds Dan hostage while his blood is tested, and if he is HIV positive, Tom will kill him for everything that’s happened to ruin his life.
