“Buried” sees a real horror of working in Iraq as an American truck driver, Paul Conroy (Ryan Reynolds) is abducted by Iraqi insurgents. Paul awakens in the dark but with limited mobility. As he feels around he comes to discover he is in a coffin, buried alive somewhere in Iraq. With only his cell phone and his lighter, Paul realizes time is running out! Paul is able to contact a disembodied voice with the cell phone belonging to Dan Brenner (Robert Paterson). Dan is with the FBI and has been made aware of the ransom demands by the kidnapper, Jabir (José Luis García Pérez). But it looks like it may be more difficult to find a man you’ve never met buried in the Iraqi desert. |
