With the death of his business and personal partner Jacob Marley (Gary Oldman) in Old London, Ebenezer Scrooge (Jim Carrey) turns more and more miserly. Scrooge's dedicated employee, Bob Cratchit (Gary Oldman) cares for his handicapped son Tiny Tim (Gary Oldman) on a pittance salary that Scrooge will not raise, but when Christmas comes once again, Marley returns as a ghost and offers Scrooge salvation if he will face three more spirits. These are The Ghost of Christmas Past (Jim Carrey), the Ghost of Christmas Present (Jim Carrey), and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come (Jim Carrey). Scrooge must come face to face with himself to be redeemed, and his salvation remains in doubt as each spirit passes. |
