Director Samuel Fuller's 1959 thriller burrows into underground Los Angeles, a murky world of crime and heartache. A stripper (Gloria Pall) winds up dead, and Det. Charlie Bancroft (Glenn Corbett) and Det. Joe Kojaku (James Shigeta) are on the case. To Little Tokyo they go, where the trail leads them to the perpetrators and a woman with whom both fall madly in love. Can they vie for her attention while still solving the case together? |
