Edy (Alfred Molina) and Anna Rodriguez (Elizabeth Pena) welcome their large Puerto Rican family and friends to their home in Chicago to celebrate Christmas, and things quickly get crazy. Among the visitors to their house are Jesse (Freddy Rodriguez), back from his time serving in the Iraq War, Roxanna (Vanessa Ferlito), a struggling actress, Mauricio (John Leguizamo), an attorney, and Sarah (Debra Messing), Mauricio's high strung wife. Romances abound as Roxanna is attracted to family friend Ozzy (Jay Hernandez), and Jesse struggles with lingering feelings for his ex-girlfriend Marissa (Melonie Diaz). When Anna announces that she is divorcing Edy, the group comes together, wanting to find a way to enjoy their last Christmas together. |
