In this animated film monks in an Irish Abbey are working on the legendary Book of Kells when suddenly Vikings attack. The Monks have to stop their work and defend the Abbey against the intruders. Brendan (Evan McGuire) is the young twelve year old nephew of Abbott Cellach (Brendan Gleeson) and has the job of finishing the book. Brendan has some special skills, including illumination that he must use to take on his worst fears that he encounters as he enters and travels through the Enchanted Forest. The forest lies just outside the walls of the Abbey and Brendan’s journey through the forest is one that he will never forget and will help him finish the book if he makes it through.
