Petula (Rachel Weisz) and Dorothy (Susan Lynch) meet under some very odd circumstances. Dorothy came to the rescue of Petula, who was being strangled by her boyfriend, and proceeds to hit Petula's boyfriend on the head with a lead pipe. This is the beginning of an odd but great friendship for the two women. When Petula's boyfriend dies, the pair come up with a plan to extort money from his older brother. They are helped along the way by a police detective who has his own crooked reasons for wanting to help them out. Will these two zany women be successful in their plan, and will they find what they're really looking for along the way? |
